The owner and operator, Frank DiMeo, started working at a sandwich stand in Uniontown, New Jersey, when he was only 18 years old. The Sicilian is a flatbread sandwich filled with a fresh, marinara-base sauce, shredded prosciutto, and the signature Angie's cheese. DiMeo started his business in Gillette, New Jersey, in the late seventies and has continued to serve up the original delicious sandwiches ever since.
